Kristen Stewart Stars In Sexy Trailer For ‘Clouds Of Sils Maria’
“The play has a simple story — an older woman falls in love with a scheming girl that has her wrapped around her finger,” Klaus Diesterweg (Lars Eldinger) tells Maria of her upcoming role in the film which made her famous, but as seduced instead of the seducer.
However, Maria begins to become overwhelmingly jealous of Valentine’s admiration of the beautiful young Jo-Ann, who tells Maria in the trailer, “It’s incredibly brave of you to take on the role of Helena. It’s a way of dealing with time.” Rude.
“I don’t think it’s company figures that are keeping you up at night,” Valentine tells Maria. “What’s keeping me up, then?” “Desire. For me, I think.” At that point, we see Maria poking her head into Valentine’s room, spying on her lying down in a thong on her bed.
‘Clouds Of Sils Maria’ To Compete For The Palme d’Or At Cannes Film Festival
Clouds Of Sils Maria is a drama about Maria’s regret and longing for her past life, and her unwillingness to accept the inevitability of time, which represents itself in her desire for her young assistant and her jealousy over Valentine’s professional admiration for Maria’s apparent replacement in the acting world.
The film has been selected to compete for the Palme d’Or at Cannes, and it looks like it may just have the potential to take it home.
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Will you be running to theaters to see Clouds Of Sils Maria upon its worldwide release (currently TBD, by the way)? It legitimately looks amazing.
