There were signs of domestic violence long before Michael Jace shot and killed his wife, April Jace, in their Los Angeles home. In fact, a new report claims the ‘Shield’ actor choked his ex-wife in front of his son.
In the late 1990’s Michael Jace, 51, got away with choking his ex-wife Jennifer Bitterman in front of their young son without any repercussions. Unfortunately, nothing was done about the domestic violence back then which escalated into the actor killing his current wife April Jace, 40, in front of their two young boys on May 19.
Michael Jace: His Violent Past With Ex-Wife
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Michael physically abused his ex-wife Jennifer Bitterman multiple times.
A close friend of Jennifer’s revealed she actually witnessed Michael “choking and slamming Jennifer against a wall.”
The disturbing documents also reveal that their then 6-month-old son witnessed the entire thing. Only a monster could do something so awful.
The friend went on to say, “Seeing the extent of his anger was one of the most terrifying things I have ever seen.”
Michael Called Police After He Killed Wife
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, after Michael killed his wife April, he called the police, and admitted that he had shot her and stayed on the phone with them until they arrived at the crime scene.
Apparently Michael was under extreme stress in regards to his financial status, and may have owed up to $411,000 on his home, which was allegedly very close to foreclosure.
What do YOU think HollywoodLifers, could this sad killing have been prevented if Michael had received the proper counseling after he abused his ex-wife? This is so sad. Our prayers and good thoughts go out to April’s family and her two young boys.
