‘The Bachelorette': The Sweet Moment That Andi Dorfman Met Eric Hill
Eric Hill, 32, is one of the contestants on The Bachelorette this season, but tragedy struck when he was killed in a paragliding accident before the show premiered. Eric, an extreme sports enthusiast, died on April 23, after getting into a fatal paragliding accident in Utah.
But on the May 19 premiere, Eric was seen with the rest of Andi’s suitors, getting out of a limo to meet his lady, and the two shared such a sweet moment.
Eric, a world traveler and explorer, brought dolls back from Peru, and he presented them to Andi, 26, when they first met.
“I actually travelled the world for my work and the first country that I went to outside of the continent was Peru,” said Eric. “In the Andes mountains, a little girl gave these to me and told me to give them to my girlfriend, but I didn’t have one at the time and, maybe this is jumping the gun, but these are for you.”
After he gave Andi the thoughtful gift, he realized that he never even introduced himself, and the duo shared a sweet laugh. Andi was taken aback by him, beaming, saying “Oh so sweet!” as Eric walked into the mansion.
Later in the house, Andi and Eric sat down together and had a cute chat talking all about Eric’s world travels. Eric said that he had plans to visit every single country, and when a very impressed Andi asked “197?” He cutely corrected her saying, “195.” They giggled and Andi was extremely interested in Eric.
Andi Is ‘Devestated’ Over Eric’s Death
Since Eric’s passing, Andi has spoken about her sheer devastation over The Bachelorette family’s loss.
“Shock, devastation, grief. It’s something you never could have predicted [or] expected,” Andi told People, saying that Eric “was part of our family, and I had just seen him. He was a member of our cast and we had an inherent bond. The [other contestants] shared that bond too. It was shocking and devastating to all of us and it’s still a tough thing that we’re going through.”
Eric was sent home during the season, but viewers can watch his zest for life and chemistry with Andi on future episodes.
