As if they had not already been through enough, Michael Jace’s traumatized children reportedly waited over four hours for child services to retrieve them from the local police station. How awful.
The hours after Michael Jace, 51, allegedly shot and killed his wife, April, 40, must have been an awful time for their two children. Not to mention, they were not recovered from the local police station by Children’s Services for over four hours — which left them traumatized and alone after witnessing their mother’s death.
Michael Jace’s Children Waited 4 Hours For Child Services
We are still in shock over the news that Shield actor Michael Jace allegedly shot and killed his wife on Monday, May 19.
However, we can’t help but be heartbroken for his two children, still unidentified, who were home at the time of the shooting.
After police arrested Michael and removed his children from the home, they were brought to the local police station where they were to be picked up by Child Protective Services. For some reason, it took Child Protective Services over four hours to get to the station and pick up the kids, who were “distraught” according to TMZ.
What took them so long? Those poor children reportedly witnessed their mother being shot and killed by their father, and they needed to be transported to a family member — which was CPS’ job.
Michael Shot April Over Money
This tragedy occurred late on the night of May 19, which is when Michael called 911 and claimed that he was the one to shoot and kill his wife.
As the 911 operator sent over ambulances and emergency personnel, the LAPD instructed Michael to stay exactly where he was until they arrived.
Upon their arrival at Michael’s home, they discovered the body of his wife, April, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
They also discovered the two children, who TMZ reports did unfortunately witness the shooting.
This entire situation is truly awful. Our thoughts continue to be with April’s family, especially her children.
