Drake — are you having commitment issues after finally winning the woman you’ve been in love with for years? Puh-leeeze! It’s time to treat her like the rose that she is or go back to being a love loser!
Drake & Rihanna’s Love Life: If You Lose Her, You’ll Regret It Forever
Drake, you’re pulling a classic immature guy move — chase a girl until she falls hard for you, and then freak out and back off.
We would have thought that at 27, you would be grown up enough to act like a real man in your love life but apparently, actually getting Rihanna, 25, to let herself fall head over heels for you, was too much for you.
Just when she thought you two were settling into a “real” boyfriend/girlfriend relationship, you told her: “Babe, you’re too needy,” and said you needed time to focus on your career, a source told HollywoodLife.com exclusively.
“He basically told her that he’s on a serious paper-chasing mission and wants to get all of it while the getting is good,” our insider source explained.
Well, Drake, it’s perfectly understandable that you would want to keep building your career, even as your love life has suddenly flourished.
But we highly doubt that you couldn’t handle showing Rihanna love and making career moves at the same time if that’s what you wanted to do. Millions of in-love people do it every day.
The fact that you accused Rihanna of being “too needy” instead of simply having a warm, down-to-earth relationship talk with her about how to work out all of your needs — hers and yours — makes it seem like you’re just looking for an excuse to back off from commitment.
If you really loved Rihanna, you would be desperate to see her and be with her no matter what. After all, this is a woman you have chased after for years.
You even got into an infamous club brawl with Chris at NYC’s WIP nightclub on June 14, 2012 — all over Rihanna.
Now, that’s obsession.
Drake — You Led Rihanna On
And once you two finally united romantically in Paris in February, 2014, you gave Rihanna every indication that you were crazy in love and you pursued her relentlessly.
You convinced her to let down her love guard and to fall for you in a way that she hadn’t felt since her early days with Chris Brown.
Drake, the two of you were inseparable for weeks in LA, and sources told HollywoodLife.com that you both had decided to spend as much time together as possible while you were free of touring commitments.
Then suddenly you dropped the “I need space” bombshell. Coward! You choked when you finally got what you wanted. Now Rihanna feels used. “She feels jaded because she thinks now that she let him have some action again that he’s tired of it,” explains an insider. “She misses the love, the flowers, the sex, him rapping to her and rubbing her feet, she misses all that. She hasn’t felt that way in ages.”
Now, Drake, you’ve left Rihanna with no idea of where your relationship stands. She gets that you need to build your career but she still thinks that you could make time for her, and we agree.
“She’s a woman and she wants to be put on a pedestal, and she wouldn’t even be tripping this hard if he hadn’t come on hard with the flattery in the beginning,” explains the insider. “She got used to it, used to feeling like the only girl in the world … and then Drake stopped. If he’s going to make her feel like she’s a one of a kind rose in the beginning and water her every second of the day, then Drake better keep watering her because if he doesn’t, the rose is doing to die,” says the insider.
Drake, have you got that? You led Rihanna on and now you’re running from the very big romance you thought you wanted. We bet you are still in love with her, you just need to take a deep breath, man up and stop being afraid.
Rihanna doesn’t think you really want to let your love die. “She’s waiting for her gardener and he knows where all her hoses are,” adds the source.
Get it together, Drake, or lose the best thing that ever happened to you. A rose like Rihanna only comes once in a lifetime.
HollywoodLifers, do YOU agree that Drake is having commitment issues? Let me know.
