After a video of Solange violently lashing out at her brother-in-law, Jay Z, went viral on May 12, many fans feared that it was the beginning of an epic family feud. But Beyonce showed that there was no bad blood between herself and her sister when she posted several photos of the two of them together on Instagram on May 14. But is Solange planning a reassuring — and hilarious — statement of her own on this week’s ‘Saturday Night Live’?
Neither Beyonce nor Jay Z nor Solange Knowles seem willing to make a traditional public statement about the May 5 elevator attack seen ’round the world, but sometimes the best way to do damage control after a shocking incident like this is to prove that you can laugh at yourself. Would Solange Knowles be taking to the SNL stage to do this?
Solange Knowles’ SNL Skit? — Singer May Do Sketch About Jay Z Fight
Solange wants the world to know that everything is okay between herself, Beyonce and Jay Z after she attacked the rapper in an elevator at NYC’s Standard Hotel following a Met Ball after-party. And apparently, according to our EXCLUSIVE source, she thinks the best way to reassure the public is to laugh the whole thing off on live television!
“Solange is talking to SNL today [May 14] about a possible skit on the fight,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
The skit would happen on the Saturday, May 17 season finale, which will be hosted by SNL alum Andy Samberg. Solange has worked with Andy and his comedic musical group The Lonely Island in the past, on their song “Semicolon.”
HollywoodLife.com reached out to Solange’s rep and SNL. Solange’s rep denied the skit, telling HollywoodLife.com, “I can confirm that Solange is not appearing on Saturday Night Live.”
Beyonce Posts Loving Message For Solange Knowles
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Beyonce posted four smiling pictures of herself and Solange on her Instagram on May 13, one day after the elevator fight video was leaked to the press. The sisters look just as close and happy as can be in each of the pictures, which show them hugging, dancing and cozying up to each other.
Just one day earlier, Solange had us worried when she deleted all but one picture of her sister from her Instagram, but it seems like Bey’s touching gesture has Solange looking at the situation in a whole new humorous light.
HollywoodLifers, do you think Solange should do an SNL skit about her fight with Jay Z? Let us know!
