This is one of the tamest things Alec Baldwin has ever done — but it still landed him in handcuffs.
On May 13, Alec Baldwin was arrested at Fifth Avenue and E. 16th street in New York City for riding his bicycle the wrong direction. When he was stopped, he reportedly didn’t have his ID on him and he became “belligerent” with the police!
Alec Baldwin Arrested
Probably not the best idea to freak out on cops — but apparently Alec, 56, doesn’t know that. Around 10:15 a.m., the actor was arrested, police sources told NYDailyNews.
“The officers approached him and told him that he was riding the wrong way on the street and asked him for ID,” an NYPD spokesman said. “But he didn’t have any ID on him. He then began to act belligerent to police.”
An eyewitness also told In Touch magazine that the actor was handcuffed and put in the back of a police car and acted “calm and quiet.” However, a different witness said he was going “ballistic on the cops, screaming at them” at first.
A factor of his arrest was apparently that he didn’t have his ID so that he couldn’t be properly identified by the police when taken into the 13th street precinct. He was alone on the bike, riding for exercise.
He ended up getting a ticket for riding the wrong way, and a separate one for disorderly conduct.
