Even though Jay Z was rumored to have dated Aaliyah around the same time he began dating Beyonce, the singer is still honoring the late star. The Queen Bey paid tribute to her in an adorable new Instagram pic.
Beyonce is the definition of classy! On May 6, Bey posted two new pics on Instagram of herself wearing an adorable shirt with Aaliyah‘s face on it. As you know, Aaliyah sadly passed away in 2001 at the young age of 22 in a plane crash. While Bey was friends with Aaliyah before she passed, the “Rock the Boat” singer was also rumored to have been romantically involved with Jay.
While she was dating rapper Damon Dash when she passed, she reportedly was on and off with Jay Z, and when she started dating Damon, it ended Jay and Damon’s friendship. Rumors have ofter swirled that Jay was seeing Aaliyah when he met Beyonce, although this has never been confirmed.
It’s so nice to see how mature Beyonce is able to be. Plus, we know that she was close with Aaliyah as well.
