Adrien Broner: Insensitive Boxer Banned For Horrible Racist Remarks After Win
Adrien went on the Mike Gill morning show, on 97.3 ESPN in South Jersey, and said, “I’m the can man. I just beat the f**k out of a Mexi-can.”
Mike was shocked and tweeted: “had him on the radio — he’s a jerk.”
Boxing’s governing body, the World Boxing Council, issued this statement when they officially suspended Adrien:
“The World Boxing Council holds human equality as its banner and will not accept a former WBC champion to make racially offensive statements.
Since words have different meanings and can be interpreted in different ways , the WBC is issuing this open letter to Adrien Broner to either clarify what he meant with his words or to issue a public apology if those words were intended to be despective and offensive.
Adrien Broner is hereby suspended from participating in any WBC sanctioned Championship and will be excluded from the WBC Ratings until the time he makes a public apology satisfactorily to the public of the world.”
Adrien won with almost no opposition, defeating Carlos by winning on all three judges’s score cards. He scored 100-90, 99-91, 98-82 according to ESPN.com’s Dan Rafael.
However, his victory was overshadowed by his disgusting racist remarks.

“The Problem” has been down this road before and the boxing community has now come to expect nothing less from Adrien.
After he defeated Pauli Maliguaggi in June 2013, he famously made fun of him saying, “I left with his belt and his girl.” He also talked about another of Pauli’s ex-friends.
HollywoodLifers, what did you think about Adrien’s comments? Do you think his remarks warranted a suspension from boxing? Let us know.
