Most parents don’t allow their 13-year-old daughters to bring boys into their bedrooms — let alone men — but Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are anything but typical. We expected the superstar parents to be upset that Willow Smith was spending time in bed with Moises Arias but a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that they’re not bothered at all! Here’s why.
Wow, talk about Hollyweird! We knew Will and Jada were progressive – they told the world in 2010 that they didn’t believe in giving their kids any rules. But we’re still stunned that they’re allowing Willow to get so close to a grown man. Here’s how an insider explains the cringe-worthy situation EXCLUSIVELY to HollywoodLife.com.
“Moises is Jaden [Smith]‘s best friend and that has been true for a few years,” our source reveals.”He has been friends with the family forever as well and this in no way was meant to look or feel sexual.”
“Everyone close to the situation is saying that this could have happened in a pool and Moises Arias could have his shirt off and nobody would freak out,” the source adds. “People are just taking a sick turn on something that was meant to be extremely innocent.”
Well, we’re glad that this photo was taken out context but the bottom line is that they WEREN’T in a pool and we still think it’s totally inappropriate for Willow and Moises to be spending time together like this unsupervised.
We still think it’s surprising that Will and Jada aren’t the least bit phased by Moises and Willow’s closeness, but our source confirms that this is a non-issue for the stars.
“They are under the impression that if they make it a big deal and have a statement then it’s exactly what people are thinking,” our source says. “They don’t want to feed into the controversy at all because it’s not a controversy to them.”
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Is this no big deal? Is it okay for a 13-year-old girl to hang in a bed with a 20-year-old guy? Let us know!
