It’s the most prestigious night in fashion, and we’ve got every single look. Click in for all the red carpet looks at the Costume Institute Benefit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 5 — also known as the Met Ball.

Cinco de Mayo? More like Cinco de Met BallKim Kardashian and Kanye West are just two of the stunning celebs that headed down the red carpet outside the Met Museum! From simple dresses like Rachel McAdams to lavish gowns like Sarah Jessica Parker, we have every look on the carpet.

Met Gala Red Carpet

SJP was one of the first to arrive in a very Carrie-Bradshaw-esque Oscar de la Renta gown, while Anna Kendrick also went with black and white in a cut out J.Mendel dress. Kim’s little sister Kendall Jenner also attended and showed that she definitely has star power in a strapless satin gown custom made by Topshop!

Selena Gomez also stunned as usual in a deep plum DVF full-length dress and looked more confident than ever. The gown fell perfectly on her and we were so impressed with how mature she looked. We’ve got to say there more young faces than ever, and they all wow’d. Of course Taylor Swift stunned in a sleek light pink dress, also by Oscar. Zoe Saldana looked amazing in a cashmere halter bodysuit by Michael Kors, with a black floral lace over a white taffeta skirt. Lea Michele looked flawless as usual in a gold Altuzarra gown.

The Theme Of 2014

The theme of this year’s Met Gala is “Charles James: Beyond Fashion,” which makes sense since it’s not just about those fashionable celebs, but is much more A-list than previous years.

“When we say ‘Beyond Fashion,’ it’s not to disparage fashion, but it was actually James’ tentative title for his own autobiography, because he felt that the research — studies of anatomy, the way he resolved sculptural shapes with his tailoring and ballgowns — was something that transcended trends and fashion. He wanted to use fashion and push fashion even further than what it was as a commercial enterprise,” the curator behind the gala, Harold Koda told WWD.
