Jared Fogel, the lovable long time spokesman of the Subway fast food chain has not died. Jared, who shot to fame as an overweight man who lost all the pounds from just eating Subway sandwiches, was the victim of a death hoax that took off across the internet.

Jared Fogel, 36, is still alive and kicking. The formerly obese spokesman for Subway sandwiches was the victim of a death hoax that blasted its way around the internet over the weekend. But the rumor has since been proven to be totally wrong.

Jared Fogel Dead? — ‘Subway’ Spokesman Victim Of Death Hoax

“Jared S. Fogel, best known as the spokesman for Subway sandwich shop “The Subway Guy” Born December 1st, 1977 – Died yesterday at 4:43pm EST.” That quote came from the fake website that claimed Jared had eaten his last sandwich.

The quote was cut from a fake obituary site called JaredRemembered.com! What are people thinking these days?

The fake obit went on to say that the cause of death was unknown. Of Course it’s unknown if the person hasn’t died!

Jared instantly took to his Twitter account to let the world know that he is in fact alive and well. His tweet seemed to show a relaxed Jared who is just taking the hoax as the practical joke it’s meant to be.
