Jenelle Evans is one step closer to freedom! A source confirms EXCLUSIVELY to HollywoodLife.com that the ‘Teen Mom 2’ star has finally filled out the paperwork to divorce from her estranged husband, Courtland Rogers.
Jenelle Evans Files For Divorce From Courtland Rogers
It’s about time!
On April 23, Jenelle was finally able to legally file for divorce from her troublesome husband, Courtland. By North Carolina state law, a married couple must be legally separated for one year before they can legally file for divorce. For Jenelle and Courtland, that year is over and done with!
“[Jenelle]’s filled out the paperwork. She’s just waiting on Courtland to get served so they can go to court,” a source revealed EXCLUSIVELY to HollywoodLife.com.
Another source told us that the paperwork should be filed by the end of the day, May 2.
“[…] it has not yet been filed. It will probably be filed sometime today though.”
UPDATE: Jenelle’s lawyer, Dustin Sullivan, has confirmed to HollywoodLife.com that the divorce papers have been filed.
This is great news for Jenelle, who is due to give birth to her second son, Kaiser Griffith, in less than two months.
Courtland Hasn’t Been Served Yet
Even though Jenelle has filed for divorce, it appears as if Courtland has not received his copy of the paperwork just yet.
On May 1, Jenelle reached out to Courtland on Twitter for an update: “Have u got served those papers yet buddy?!”
“NO but please serve them to me asap lol what happens if we don’t divorce before u have kaiser?” Courtland responded, along with a winky face.
Hopefully that paperwork gets to Courtland soon, so Jenelle can focus on settling down with her boyfriend, Nathan Griffith!
