With a new film in theaters, Cameron Diaz has been hitting the red carpet scene lately and she has looked fabulous at every event! Now, the actress is gracing the cover of ‘InStyle’ magazine for their May issue! We spoke to her hairstylist to find out how he created her lovely cover locks! Keep reading for the scoop.

The Other Woman star’s hair is side-swept and sexy — perfect for a summer date! Fashion & Celebrity Hairstylist Ben Skervin created Cameron Diaz‘s flawless look on the cover and breaks down the exact steps for you below!

Cameron Diaz For ‘InStyle’ — Beautiful Blonde Hair

Here’s the how-to from Ben:

“1. First, use Vidal Sassoon Pro Series Boost & Lift Foaming Air Mousse on wet hair, applying it throughout the hair for a weightless lift.

2. Then blow dry hair with a round brush for additional volume at the roots.

3. To create a slide wave, use a 1-inch curling iron and wrap hair around the barrel for 10 seconds. Refrain from touching or brushing hair until the curls have cooled.

4. To finish, spray Vidal Sassoon Pro Series ColorFinity Dry Shampoo in Intense Blondes to break up the texture and give the hair some additional body.”

Ben is a hair genius who has also worked with celebrities like Keira Knightly, Lea Michele and Britney Spears! He even created a red carpet look on me!

Cameron’s Natural Makeup

Cameron’s skin was sun-kissed and golden on the cover. Her makeup was done by Benjamin Puckey. He told how he created her stunning look:

“Before makeup, Cameron prepped her skin with a Babor Fluids FP ampoule. I used a very light touch of Clé de Peau’s Refining Fluid foundation, which I love for its natural and radiant finish. We used Colorescience Mineral Sunscreen to protect her skin from the strong sun. I applied Clinique Chubby Stick in Lots O’ Latte as an eyeshadow base because it makes powder shadow last all day without creasing.

I created a soft taupe smokey eye using Lancôme’s Color Design Palette in Taupe Craze. After curling Cameron’s lashes with the Suratt Relevée Lash Curler, I applied two coats of black Chanel Le Volume Mascara. I gave Cameron a sun kissed glow using Nars Laguna Bronzer that I applied using the Hakuhodo S102 Finishing Brush. We wanted to give the lips a gorgeous peachy beige shade that I created using Nars’ Satin Lip Pencil in Isola Bella followed by a layer of Chanel’s perfect beige Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss in Insouciance.

I used Mario Badescu’s Walnut Body Lotion to give her body a beautiful sheen.”
