Hollywood’s lost another great one. Bob Hoskins passed away from pneumonia on April 29 at the age of 71. Bob had retired from acting in 2012 following his diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease.
Bob Hoskins Dies At 71
Bob’s family released a statement by agent Claire Dobbs, following his death. “We are devastated by the loss of our beloved Bob,” his wife Linda and children Alex, Sarah, Rosa and Jack said to the Associated Press.
The actor retired from Hollywood in 2012 after a Parkinson’s disease diagnosis.
Bob Hoskins: Golden Globe Winner Passes Away
He starred in television series like Thick as Thieves and Pennies From Heaven before making it big in films. He was nominated for an Oscar for his work in Mona Lisa in 1986 and received a Golden Globe for the role. He also had classic roles in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Hook, Super Mario Bros., and The Long Good Friday.
