Selena Gomez is trying to better herself by going to church on a regular basis instead of rehab, an insider tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. Her parents are happy that she’s ‘looking at outlets to heal herself,’ but are still convinced she needs professional help.
It’s been a rough week for Selena Gomez who stopped following her friends, including Justin Bieber on Instagram after a disastrous Coachella weekend. Now the singer has turned to religion hoping to fill a “spiritual gap.” However, her concerned parents would prefer that their troubled daughter check into rehab instead, HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY reports.
Selena Gomez: Going To Church Instead Of Rehab?
Selena may not be ready to try rehab again, but at least she is trying to find a solution to her “depression and anxiety”.
“Selena is trying to change her ways by going to church and more so to avoid going to rehab. She feels like she has a spiritual gap and that maybe that’s why she is struggling,” the source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “She learned about the spiritual aspect in rehab when they talked about the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. Her parents are just hoping that this isn’t just some short lived stint to avoid rehab.”
“Her parents and friends love and hate the idea of using religion. They love it that it shows that Selena knows she needs help, and is looking at outlets to heal herself, but hate it because they know that it probably will not work,” another source close to the troubled diva revealed to us. “She needs rehab and people who need rehab never want it, and that is the mode that they are in with her at this time.”
At least Selena is doing her best to make herself a better person!
Selena: Her Parents Want Her To Go To Rehab
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Selena’s parents are worried sick about their daughter and are hoping she will check into rehab.
“Selena’s main issues are depression and anxiety and obviously when she drinks alcohol, it only amplifies the problem — she also has trouble sleeping, which makes everything worse,” the insider explained.
“Selena really wants to get better but isn’t sure what to do. Rehab is not something she thinks she needs. She thinks if she can just focus on her career and stay away from certain people, things will get better.”
What do YOU think HollywoodLifers, is Selena making the right decision by attending church on a regular basis to help her overcome her problems? Do YOU think Selena needs to check into rehab as well?
