It’s a serious sock showdown between two of our favorite fashionistas. The knee sock trend is hotter than ever as celebs take the reigns of a fabulous new accessory for your feet! Who wore them better? VOTE.
Taylor Swift, 24, showed off her knee socks in NYC on April 23, flaunting a school-girl inspired look that totally brought us back to the 90s! That very same day, Katy Perry, 29, pulled off the knee sock trend on a trip to V magazine in Soho. It looks like both gals decided to dress for the transitional weather by showing off the trend! While knee socks instantly remind us of Cher Horowitz, who do you think pulled off the look better?
Taylor Swift’s Knee Socks — NYC Outfit:
Taylor recently brought the trend to NYC, stepping into the streets with her high socks pulled up! The star went for more of a school girl look, which was totally flirty and girly. She used her matching expertise, keeping the burgundy color of her socks consistent with her super cute hat — and it was perfectly polished as she rocked them with her scalloped shorts! Taylor looked so sweet and innocent showing off her legs with these bold knee socks, we just loved her look!
Katy Perry’s Knee Socks Outfit:
Not only is Katy accessorizing with her new green hair, the star is also sporting the knee sock trend around NYC — but unlike Taylor, she went for a more edgy look with her funky knee socks. The singer went total biker chick on us, with a leather jacket, jet black knee socks, and a blue patterned dress with a fun collar. We absolutely loved her knee socks with this edgy look, but what we didn’t like were the shoes she wore with the ensemble! Rocking a pair of platform peep-toe sandals with the socks was definitely a bold move. We would have liked to see a low bootie or oxford style, like the shoes Taylor had on, to finish her look.
While Katy’s footwear didn’t suit our fancy, we must admit that Katy nailed the nod to the 90s. Taylor, on the other hand, looked like she just skipped out of the classroom. Both gals put their own spin on the style, but who do YOU think rocked the socks look?
