‘American Idol’ Recap: CJ Harris & Jessica Meuse Are In The Bottom
This show is really making me want to buy a Ford Focus. Just kidding.
If Ryan Seacrest talked any slower he’d stop talking entirely. The filler during these results shows, honestly.
Sam Woolf and Caleb Johnson are safe. CJ Harris is in the bottom, to the surprise of exactly no one. Sorry, CJ.
Jena Irene is safe, as is Alex Preston, leaving Jessica Meuse in the bottom. I #IdolAgree with them both being in the bottom based on my personal biases, but I #IdolDisagree on the basis of the judges’ comments last night — I was certain that my boyfriend Alex would be in the bottom.
‘American Idol’ Recap: CJ Harris Is Eliminated; Literally Everybody Cries
Hilariously, Ryan is like, hey guys, would you have done anything differently to avoid being in the bottom right now? Jessica is like, nah, I just do me. CJ is all, um, yeah, I’d probably have made different song choices.
And CJ Harris is going home! His last song is “Can’t You See” by the Marshall Tucker Band. It’s his best choice and his most powerful and emotional performance in a while, which is a bummer. He’s singing it better this time than he did originally, during the Songs From The Movies episode on March 12!
Everyone is very weepy; CJ is very well-loved. Even Jennifer Lopez is crying — but, to be fair, it doesn’t seem to take much.
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Was it time for CJ to take a hike or were you hoping someone else would get sent home? Vote above and comment below!
