Prince William gave a speech in New Zealand that revealed his shocking plans for Prince George’s future — and no, they do not involve the throne! Why would Prince William have different plans for his son?
Prince William‘s 9-month-old son Prince George is currently the third heir to England’s throne. However, during the royal family’s tour of New Zealand, Prince William gave a surprising speech that revealed he has completely different plans for his first born.
Prince William Has Non-Royal Plans For Prince George
Why would Prince William want to steer his son clear of the throne?
While giving a speech on April 11 in New Zealand, the second in line for the throne revealed that he is preparing his first born son, Prince George, for a future in rugby.
“He’s a bonny lad, and you’ll be pleased to know that he’s currently preparing for life as a [rugby] prop forward,” the proud dad bragged, reports Us Weekly.
As you know, Prince George is currently third in line for the King of England title — behind his grandfather, Prince Charles, and then his father, Prince William.
Hopefully, Prince William was just kidding about rugby — although Prince George can always play for fun once he’s in school!
During the speech, Prince William also revealed that his son reminds him not just of himself, but also of his brother, Prince Harry!
“He’s a little bit of a rascal, I’ll put it that way,” Prince William admitted. “He reminds me of me, or my brother, when I was younger.”
Kate Middleton Shows She Is A Hands On Mother
Of course, the little prince has the best of both worlds.
During a recent trip to the zoo, his loving mother held him as he squealed at all the animals he was looking at. The best moment came when like any other toddler, Prince George started drooling and the Duchess removed the drool from her tot’s mouth, onto her designer dress, showing just how hands on she is!
We fall in love with this little family more and more everyday!
With his bragging dad and hands on mom by his side, we are sure this little heir has all the support he needs if he decides to be a rugby player.
