Jodie Foster Marries Alexandra Hedison
Jodie Foster rang in the weekend with wedding bells! The award-winning actress is officially married to Alexandra Hedison, according to E! News, who reported that Jodie’s rep confirmed the exciting news.
The couple had been dating for nearly a year, before their nuptials.
The site first announced that “the Oscar winner and her photographer girlfriend of almost a year got married this past weekend.” Before their wedding, they reported, “It’s pretty serious…They’re totally in love.”
So who is Alexandra? She is a photographer and actress who played Dylan on Showtime’s The L Word. Alexandra publicly dated Ellen DeGeneres, before breaking up in 2004.
Jodie, 51, ended her longtime relationship with Cydney Bernard back in 2008, after 20 years together. They ex-couple are parents to Foster and Bernard together.
At the 2013 Golden Globes, Jodie won the Cecil B. DeMille award, and made headlines for her acceptance speech, which many perceived as her official coming out. “I already did my coming out about a thousand years ago back in the Stone Age,” said Jodie, adding, “in those very quaint days when a fragile young girl would open up to trusted friends and family and co-workers and then gradually, proudly to everyone who knew her, to everyone she actually met. But now I’m told, apparently, that every celebrity is expected to honor the details of their private life with a press conference, a fragrance and a prime-time reality show…No, I’m sorry, that’s just not me. It never was and it never will be.”
HollywoodLifers, are you excited for Jodie and Alexandra? Wish them congrats down below in the comments!
