Adam Levine has been a coach on ‘The Voice’ since the show started, but as plans for Season 7 are in the works, rumors are buzzing that he won’t return. Adam even told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that he has not confirmed whether he will be back!
The Voice is the best reality singing competition on TV, thanks in part to the amazing coaches, which, of course, includes Adam Levine. Although Usher and Shakira successfully swapped spots with CeeLo Green and Christina Aguilera, the show won’t hold it’s buzz, charm or ratings, if Adam leaves. Keep reading to find out what the coach told HollywoodLife.com, plus, why I say he can’t quit!
Adam Levine — Do Not Quit ‘The Voice’
I hate to break it to you, but Adam Levine is not set to return to The Voice yet. And I say, Adam cannot quit!
Ever since the singing competition began, back in 2011, Adam has been a staple on the judges’ panel, an expert coach and, let’s be honest, he’s not too hard on the eyes. The Voice cannot go on without the Sexiest Man Alive!
One of the most dynamic duos on TV is Adam and Blake Shelton who have solidified their bromance in primetime. Seriously, how sad will Blake be if Adam leaves? Plus, does Adam’s pending departure mean that Blake would leave, too?
Aside from the fun and games on the panel, Adam displays his passion for the contestants on his team and truly coaches them to expertise. So much so that he won the first season with winner Javier Colon, and the most recent winner, Season 5’s Tessanne Chin.
With Delvin Choice, Kat Perkins and YouTube sensation Christina Grimmie on his team this season, he very well may end up the top coach again. (How adorable was he singing along with Team Adam on the April 22 elimination show?) So far, his singers have proven to be extremely strong contenders in the competition — Delvin, Kat and Christina were all safe from the bottom three during the first elimination show, and Christina marked her spot as a standout from her very first blind audition, opening the season.
Adam also has a hilarious energy and is a joy to watch for at-home viewers. Besides arguing with frenemy Blake Shelton, Adam gives the singers funny critiques and even bribes them (remember when he let a contestant take a seat in his coveted red chair, just to persuade her to join his team?), which makes for must-see TV.
Adam Levine Tells HollywoodLife.com He Is Not Confirmed To Return To ‘The Voice’
HollywoodLife.com spoke to Adam at the live show on April 21 in Los Angeles, and when we asked him if the rumors are true that he may not return for Season 7, he didn’t deny it: “I’ve got to check my schedule,” he said coyly. Obviously distraught, we tried to get more information out of Adam, but he just reiterated that he’s not confirmed for the next season. “I don’t know,” he said. “I have to check my schedule.”
HollywoodLifers, will you still watch The Voice without Adam Levine on the judges panel? Who do you think would be a good male musician to replace him? Sound off in the comments below!
