‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ reunion finally hit TV last night, and as we all know, Porsha hit Kenya. The ladies engaged in a full-on brawl and even though Porsha took a swing at Kenya, she’s not the one to blame. Porsha should not be fired from ‘RHOA’!
Get out your Team Porsha and Team Kenya shirts because the April 20 reunion of The Real Housewives of Atlanta was crazy! Porsha Williams was sent home for the remainder of the reunion, after she smacked Kenya Moore, but was the smack down really her fault? Keep reading to see why Porsha is not the only one to blame!
‘RHOA Reunion’: Kenya Was The Center Of The Drama
The April 20 Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion was completely crazy. Even host Andy Cohen couldn’t hold it together, and he’s seen a lot of catty housewives — his role went from panel moderator to assault officer, as he had to break up an unexpected brawl between Porsha and Kenya. Bravo has never seen their housewives quite like this so how did the smack-talking turn into a smack down? Let’s break down the reunion, and see who is really to blame.
First of all, I need to point out that Kenya showed up to set with a scepter — what queens carry. So she’s comparing herself to royalty from the get go. From the offset of the episode, Kenya was attacked by every single member of the cast for various reasons, mainly her “African Prince,” whom the ladies all think actually does not exist! It was very clear that none of the housewives are fans of Kenya. Phaedra, NeNe, Kandi and, of course, Porsha took aim at her.
As if the scepter wasn’t enough, Kenya pulled out a blow horn, and while it made for great TV, really? Really, Kenya? A blow horn? She was talking over Porsha, who was firing back with some very not-so-ladylike comments (she threw some serious shade at her lady bits), and Porsha really lost it when Kenya accused her of cheating on her ex-husband, Kordell. Andy let Kenya explain herself, even though he clearly thought she was being ridiculous, but the verbal fight turned into a brawl when Porsha stood up and swung at Kenya’s head!
I’m not saying that Porsha is an angel either (she said some pretty nasty things, and HollywoodLife.com does not condone violence in any way), but is she really the only one to blame for the fight? Porsha was sent home from the reunion taping because she instigated physical violence, but she should not be the only one taking the heat.
Porsha Williams Should Not Be Fired From The Show
Right after the fight broke out, Kenya ran off set, yelling that she will not continue on the show if Porsha isn’t fired and screamed, “I am not going to sit here and get hit by someone on TV!”
We all know what happened next: Kenya called the cops and filed assault charges against Porsha who was sent to jail. Andy went into Porsha’s dressing room to tell her that she was being sent home — and next week’s preview showed that she’s not in the rest of the reunion, and there’s still two parts left! Porsha was hysterically brawling and immediately said that she was “embarrassed and disappointed,” and defended herself, saying she “was pushed to the wall.”
When Andy went into Kenya’s dressing room, he apologized over and over again, saying that he feels terrible that Kenya was hit. But he didn’t at all call her out for her insane antics.
Again, violence is never the answer, but Kenya was quite the instigator and Porsha looks like the bad guy — there are two bad housewives.
HollywoodLifers, what do you think? Should Porsha be fired? Should Kenya be fired? Should both ladies be fired? Was the fight Porsha or Kenya’s fault? Sound off in the comments!
