The Royals spent their Easter holiday at the Australian Zoo where little Prince George got a chance to meet the ‘bilby,’ Australia’s version of the Easter Bunny.
Kate Middleton, Prince William, and baby George all chose to spend their Easter at the Australian Zoo on April 20. There was a special surprise waiting for George, as he got a chance to meet a bilby, which is the Australian version of the Easter Bunny. But wait there’s more — the furry little holiday bunny was even named after the little royal. The bilby was renamed two months ago to celebrate George’s birthday last year. Hooray!
Prince George, Kate Middleton, & William Take A Trip To The Australian Zoo
Going down under for the Royals has been a colorful and eye-opening experience. But nothing could have prepared them for what they saw when they arrived at the Taronga Zoo where Prince George got an up close and personal look at the Bilby Exhibit, reports the DailyMail.
Meanwhile the Duchess got a chance to sniff a real koala and discover that they actually do smell like what they eat — eucalyptus leaves!
Prince William took advantage of his opportunity to do the “Dr. Dolittle” thing and hand-feed a carrot to a very hungry giraffe while his wife finished catching whiffs of koala.
