The season finale of ‘Scandal’ was insane, to say the least, leaving many character’s futures in jeopardy — including Harrison. Will the actor be killed off of the show, after his alleged domestic violence charges?
What is crazier — Scandal‘s twisted story lines or Columbus Short‘s shocking real-life scandal? Last night’s season finale left Gladiators everywhere utterly shocked, especially because one of OPA’s main men could be killed off. Keep reading to get all of the details on last night’s episode, plus, the latest on Columbus’s fate on the hit series. Warning: SPOILER ALERTS ahead!
‘Scandal’ Finale: Is Harrison Actually Dead?
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!
The April 17 finale of Scandal left Gladiators with tons of cliffhangers, including Harrison’s (Columbus Short) impending death, after having a gun pointed to his head by none other than Olivia’s dad’s (Joe Morton) doing!
After crazy twists and turns such as the bomb explosion putting Sally (Kate Burton) ahead of the presidential race, Olivia (Kerry Washington) coming clean to Fitz about Mellie’s (Khandi Alexander) rape and then their son Jerry (Dylan Minnette) being killed — and not by Maya (Khandi Alexander)! — the episode ended with the biggest shocker of all: Harrison uncovered Rowan’s master plan to have Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) re-elected and send Olivia away, and was held at gunpoint!
But is he really dead?
Although the gun was directly point at his face, the scene cut before Rowan could direct Tom (Brian Letscher) to pull the trigger. While many fans assume that he was shot, show creator Shonda Rhimes could very well keep him on the show — he could be held as Rowan’s hostage or seen in a seriously injured state. It wouldn’t be the first time that Rowan faked someone’s death (Mama Pope is in the hole, after all).
However, Shonda might have strategically kept Harrison’s fate vague because Columbus Short’s scary personal life is causing quite the backlash from fans, after his charges for domestic violence — not to mention, he could be going to jail.
Should Columbus Short Be Killed Off ‘Scandal’ After His Real-Life Troubles?
Usually when series regulars are killed off of shows, fans go wild with anger, but not this time. After Columbus Short’s real-life troubles made headlines for him allegedly assaulting and threatening to kill his wife, fans actually want him to be kicked off of Scandal!
Columbus’s wife, Tanee McCall-Short, filed for divorce, after she was allegedly attacked by Columbus who threatened to kill her and then kill himself on April 7 in their Los Angeles home.
According to TMZ, Tuere claimed that Columbus threatened to hit her with a bottle of wine, poured the wine all over her, choked her and then grabbed a knife for a game called “Truth or Truth,” which put her at knifepoint with Columbus threatening to stab her in the leg, if she lied. This was all prompted by Columbus believing that his wife had cheated on him.
Columbus has since released an official statement, responding to his wife’s terrifying allegations, but Scandal viewers aren’t buying it. Especially, after his bizarre interview where he seemed to take the entire incident, as a non-serious issue.
HollywoodLifers, does Columbus Short deserve to be kicked off of Scandal? If he is, will you miss his character? Sound off in the comments below!
