When interviewer Roland Martin brought up Tuere’s disturbing accusations and compared them to “a real-life Olivia Pope” from Scandal, Columbus replied, “We have some amazing scriptwriters. It’s — life — life has the best scriptwriters of all time. That’s all I can say about that. But I’m still here. I’m standing. I’m talk. Let’s go.”
When Roland pressed Columbus for more information, the actor shockingly began to laugh. He then said, “I don’t mean to laugh, but it just — it just sounded – it read outlandish and it sounds even more outlandish coming out of your mouth.”
Wow! This is definitely not how we would expect Columbus to react to such a serious matter.
‘Scandal’ Fans Asking For Columbus Short To Be Fired
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, now that Columbus’ reputation has been tarnished by the alleged attack, loyal Scandal fans have been taking to Twitter to blast the actor and demand that he be fired.
And these viewers are not playing either. They’re reaching their hands high, begging producers, including writer/producer Shonda Rhimes herself, to 86 Columbus from the show.
As for Columbus, he’s not confirming or denying the validity of his wife’s allegations.
Instead, he’s telling fans, “Don’t believe everything you read.”
So HollywoodLifers, are YOU surprised that Columbus laughed off his wife’s domestic violence claims? Do you think he should be taking this more seriously? Let us know.
