The Wu-Tang Clan has broken their silence after rapper Andre Johnson cut off his penis and attempted to commit suicide in Los Angeles on April 16 — and what they have to say isn’t very kind!
The Wu-Tang Clan wants the world to know that Andre Johnson is not now and has never been affiliated with the band. After Andre’s shocking April 16 suicide attempt, the group denied its connection to the rapper also known as Christ Bearer in a strongly worded article posted to their social media pages on April 17.

Andre is a member of Northstar, a Long Beach, Calif. hip hop group that was founded by Wu-Tang Clan member Rza, according to Wu-Tang’s website.
But an article that was posted to the Wu-Tang Clan’s social media pages on April 17 and later deleted read: “Parental Advisory: Don’t Believe the HYPE. This Mother F–ker Ain’t Got S–t to do with The WUTANG Brand.”
According to E! News, the article was posted along with an image of a man who may or may not be Andre, and the caption, “Not affiliated with the Wu-Tang Brand.”
Additionally, someone claiming to be a spokesperson for the Wu-Tang Clan released a statement to The Mirror, saying of Andre, “He is not of any affiliation to Wu-Tang Clan or any of its subsidiaries. No one here has ever seen or heard of this fool until now.”
However, a rep for the Wu-Tang Clan has since told E! News that no one from the band’s camp made a statement to the paper, adding, “What Christbearer did was unfathomable. I feel for his family at this time.”

Other rappers were present when Andre jumped. They said that there were no drugs on the scene, and that a possible mental issue could be the reason behind Andre’s suicide attempt.
