Splinter has arrived! The trailer for ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ premiered on March 27, but on April 13, an extended version was released — including Splinter.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles just got better! In the original trailer for the Michael Bay film, we met April O’Neil (Megan Fox) along with Raphael, Michelangelo, Donatello and Leonardo, but we were missing our favorite part of the series. However, during the MTV Movie Awards, a longer trailer was shown and that included the turtles’ sansei Master Splinter!
‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles': Splinter Makes Debut
“You live. You die. You fight as brothers. Remember nothing is as strong as family,” Splinter says in the new trailer while we also see Raphael beat the crap out of a bad guy.
The voice may sound familiar — while Danny Woodburn plays Splinter, the voice is done Tony Shalhoub. While some of the footage in the extended trailer was seen in the original one, it’s so amazing to see the turtles back in the action. Not only do we see Splinter, but we also see Raphael (Alan Ritchso) beating up a bad guy in a mask, and April and Vernon (Will Arnett) trying to defend themselves from the danger in the city.
We can’t fully see Splinter’s face, but we see enough to get insanely excited. We also get a look at the villain of the movie, Shredder, who will be played by William Fichtner, and looks absolutely terrifying.
Watch the new trailer above then let us know your thoughts, HollywoodLifers! Do you think Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles looks good? Will you see it when it hits theaters in August? Let us know!
