All of the Anne Hathaway haters out there might have a change in heart after last night’s Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The Oscar-winning actress stopped by to accompany Jimmy Fallon in a piano serenade, but it was far from classical — Anne jazzed up rap songs!
Anne Hathaway Revamps Rap Songs on ‘The Tonight Show’
We all know that Anne Hathaway can sing, but did you know that she could rap?! Well, kinda.
Anne paid Jimmy a visit on the April 8th episode of The Tonight Show, and she took center stage with a medley of hip hop songs. Yep, Anne went from Les Misérables to Snoop Doggy Dog.
“Ladies and gentleman, forget everything you know about rap music,” said The Tonight Show announcer. “Here to perform broadway versions of hip hop songs, please welcome Anne Hathaway.”
With Jimmy on the piano (pretending to play) and Anne on the mic (really singing), the two belted out a jazzy cover of Snoop Dogg‘s “Gin & Juice”, 50 Cent‘s “In Da Club” and Kendrick Lamar.
Anne, in her floor-length one-shoulder black gown shook her butt as Jimmy sang along to the vulgarly amazing lyrics with her. Nothing like hearing these two harmonize over “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe!”
HollywoodLifers, did you think Anne and Jimmy’s song was funny? Let us know!
