Prince George impressed his fans and ten other toddlers during his first engagement when he demonstrated his advanced crawling and mom-handling skills at New Zealand’s Government House on April 9. See the pics and video below!
Prince George‘s first public play date? A rousing success! The little prince was the center of attention at the Royal New Zealand Plunket Society at the Government House in Wellington, New Zealand on April 9, where he nailed his first official engagement by showing off his mobility, his penchant for making friends, and his adorable first teeth!
Prince George: Superstar With Kate Middleton At First Engagement
Prince George was joined by ten other babies — six girls and four boys who were born within weeks of George’s July 22 birthday — but the royal little one was clearly the center of attention, crawling around confidently and playing with a variety of toys in Rachel Riley dungaree shorts with a ship on the front, a white shirt, and matching blue shoes.
“It’s madness, there are babies everywhere!” Prince William exclaimed as he watched his son interact, according to Mail Online. It was clear to everyone in attendance that George has an assertive character, as he played with toys like drums and a purple tambourine without any fear or worry about the other children around him. As one baby, a girl named Eden, approached George, the prince reached out to touch her and actually ended up accidentally hitting her! We’re going to mark that down as George’s first flirtation.
But after some time, George was ready to go back to his mom, Kate Middleton. Their connection is still downright stunning to see, and as Kate picked him up, George was clearly entranced by his mother. While all the babies continued to play, Prince George clung to Kate and even pulled her hair a few times in a show of loving fussing. Are they not the perfect mother-son duo?
Prince George Is ‘Lovely’ & ‘Feisty’
“He is a lovely little boy,” Jared Mullen, one of the parents in attendance, said. “The whole thing has been a huge privilege. It was lovely to meet the Duke and Duchess and share our beautiful children with them. They are both very lovely and loving parents.”
“George is bubbly, quite feisty and he took control,” another parent, Grant Collins, said. “He crawled to the centre of the room and he owned the place.”
Well it’s good to hear that George has some kingly instincts! This first official engagement went so well — and George was such a star — we can’t wait until the next one! What do you think, HollyMoms? Check out all the pics and video above and let us know!
