Lea Michele is not going to sit by and watch history repeat itself. After losing her boyfriend and ‘Glee’ co-star, Cory Monteith, to a lethal cocktail of heroin and alcohol in July of 2013, the actress is reportedly reaching out to Zac Efron and urging the troubled actor to seek help.
Zac Efron seems to be struggling to get his life back on track after his two stints in rehab in 2013. Perhaps his friend Lea Michele will be the one who finally gets through to the 26-year-old heartthrob. After losing her beloved boyfriend Cory Monteith to a lethal combination of heroin and alcohol, Lea is reportedly reaching out to give the That Awkward Moment star some much-needed advice that could potentially save his life.
Lea Michele To Zac Efron: Seek Help — She Urges Actor After Cory Monteith Death
Lea contacted Zac after learning that the troubled star was allegedly hunting for drugs in the Skid Row area of Los Angeles, a source tells Life & Style.
The source tells the mag that Lea, 27, has been a huge support system for the High School Musical star ever since her boyfriend and Zac’s friend, Cory Monteith, passed away in July, 2013.
“After he died, Lea became a sober support for Zac. She’d even invite him on hikes through Runyon Canyon. But lately, Zac’s been standing her up,” the insider said. “She’s deeply worried that Zac is teetering on the brink of tragedy.”
Lea Michele Wants To Be Zac Efron’s Support System
Now Lea is urging Zac to get help before it is too late. “Lea wants Zac to get into a hard-core rehab program and publicly come clean about relapsing,” the source adds.
Zac definitely still seems to be going through a tough time so we think he should listen to what Lea has to say. It really sounds like she is coming to him from a genuine place and she is willing to help him if he will let her.
And if Zac really is at risk of relapsing, we know that Lea would be the perfect person for him to confide in. Not only is she caring, understanding and strong, but she has also been through a similar situation with Cory.
So what do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Should Zac listen to Lea? Does Zac need to go back to rehab? Let us know.
