Debby Ryan’s KCA Hair & Makeup — Her Exact Look
Both Bobby and Andre were inspired by Debby’s hot Sportmax green leather pencil skirt and black BCBG crop top. Her hair was meant to compliment her sexy look while her young, flirty makeup was intended to balance out her sexy ensemble.
Get Debby Ryan’s Big, Sexy Hair
Debby’s hair was sexy, undone and effortless in appearance. This look was all about texture:
“I first applied Oribe foundation mist all over to even out the porosity of the hair. I then applied Oribe Grandiose Hair Plumping Mousse on roots then combed it through to ends.
I then blow-dried the hair with my hands really concentrating on getting lots of root lift. As the roots dried, I then started to twist the ends of the hair for extra texture until the hair was completely dry.
I then sprayed Oribe Superfine Hairspray section by section all over the hair.
I sectioned off the top of the hair into a horseshoe section. Starting in the nape with horizontal sections, I used a GHD Tri-zone flat iron and started creating an almost rippled texture in the hair. Bending down at the root, letting it cool, then up the opposite direction. Repeat this all the way to the ends.
I did this technique to all of the hair that was out of the horseshoe section. I then let the top hair down and we decided on a side part. The part was meant to be uneven and messy. This was the key to keeping the look effortless. I then created a bend in the hair as I did to the bottom sections. I then sprayed Oribe Dry texturizing spray section by section on the roots then to the ends.
I massaged the product in with my hands to really work it in and give the hair a lot of texture. I finished the look off with Oribe Rough Luxury molding wax on my fingers and randomly pieced out sections of hair to give it extra texture. Last, I sprayed L’Oreal Elnett Hairspray for hold.”
How To Achieve Debby’s Flirty Makeup
The final veridict for Debby’s makeup was a bright, candy pink lip with gorgeous, glowing skin. Here’s how her look was achieved:
“Prep — I mixed Epicuren Aloe Vera Gel with Yon-ka Pamplemousse moisturizer and worked it in to Debby’s skin. Then I applied a thin layer of Laura Mercier Hydrating primer in broad sweeping strokes across her face. This mix keeps her skin glowing while helping her base last all night.
Base — I buffed Face Atelier Ultra Foundation in #5 all over and dotted the lighter shade from Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage in SC-5 over any areas that needed a little extra coverage. For under the eyes, I used Clinique Airbrush Concealer Pen in #3 Medium. To set everything, I dusted Chanel Loose Powder in shade #30 Naturel. This kept any unwanted shine under control but still left the skin looking fresh.
Cheeks — I used Tom Ford Blush in Narcissist all over her cheeks. The blush is an intense hot pink but I applied it very softly to give a barely-there pink glow. I dusted a little Benefit Hoola Bronzer along the cheekbones to add a sun kissed feel to her skin.
Eyes — I took Kevyn Aucoin Loose Shimmer shadow in Rose Quartz and based the entire lid with the color. Then I took NARS eye shadow in Coconut Grove to define the crease and blended NARS Persia eyeshadow over the crease area to warm up the color. I defined her eyes with Clinique Brush On Cream Liner in Brown. I pulled the line out and brought it under the eye, just on the outer third of the bottom lid. I softened the liner with a flat, fluffy brush to give a soft, smokey feel. We used House of Lashes Temptress Lash to keep her eyes fluttery and flirty. Lastly I used Tom Ford Brow Sculptor in Chestnut to define the brows and give structure to the eye.
Lips — For her bright lip, we layered three products to get perfect shade and to help the lip last all night. First I lined her lips using Chanel Lip Crayon in Fuchsia. Then I filled her lips in with NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Yu. I blotted the lips with a tissue and repeated the first two steps — line then fill. For the final touch, I added Tarte Lip Surgence gloss in Flush for a pop of color and shine. The resulting lip was fun, young and perfect for the event!”
