I think Shailene was going for comfort and I admire her for that. It’s sad how society scrutinizes what we wear and how we wear it. It’s what causes people to make all these unnecessary efforts to dress a certain way, even if it means sacrificing their comfort. Different cultures have different ways of doing things and it’s not right for anyone to judge that. There are more important things happening right now that we should be dealing with. Kayla, your comment was very well said.

How pathetic that young woman are sacrificing their femininity for what. There is a time and place for every outfit, what is wrong with dressing like an attractive young lady? I wish you would all learn from the British they have not sacrificed dignity in their dress code. Sad that we have become such a relaxed culture we have to dress like the opposite sex. Unattractive for such an event and not appropriate. Don’t care what these young people say,

Honey, don’t insult America in that way, there are better things to insult about this country. I don’t understand what you’re saying. How is it bad to dress in ‘men’ style clothing, it’s not like drag. She still shows her curves and looks beautiful but she’s saying that she can wear ‘mens’ clothing, I put quotations around ‘men’ because society could have chosen that men wear skirts and women wear pants, it’s just what the decided on. She’s not sacrificing her dignity at all. I don’t think that dressing in that outfit at all is manly, she looks amazing in it and it’s styled for a woman to wear, it’s not baggy and it shows her curves, therefore deeming it ‘woman’s’ clothing.
