L’Wren Scott’s Fortune: Sister Fights Mick Jagger For Family Share
L’Wren grieving sister Jan has openly criticized Mick for turning the funeral into what she calls a “media circus,” reports the DailyMail.
“He hijacked this funeral. Yes, he was with her for 13 years, but family is family, that’s what it boils down to,” Jan said.
Jan added that no members of the family – apart from brother Randall – made the trip from their home in Utah to the private wake held at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
But what really got under Jan’s skin is the fact that her sister left everything to Mick, and in the process has robbed her immediate family of valuable heirlooms.
“I know after mum passed away, L’Wren took pictures away from the family home. They were my childhood, I want them back, I hate to think they’re gone forever — it’s our memories of growing up,” Jan said. “The Jagger family doesn’t need them, they’re our memories from our childhood.”
“She had things of mum’s that have no use for anyone else, but there’s some nieces and nephews that would want them,” she added
Jan said she felt her sister deserved to be buried in Utah, where she was born and brought up, and that her family and friends from her home town of Ogden, in the state, were devastated at being kept out of the ceremony.
L’Wren Scott’s Sister Angry At Jagger Over Funeral Arrangements
“I give all my jewelry, clothing, household furniture and furnishings, personal automobiles, and other tangible articles of a personal nature, or my interest in any such property, not otherwise specifically disposed of by this will or any other matter together with my insurance on the property, to Michael Philip Jagger,” L’Wren wrote in her will. “I give the rest and residue of my estate to my Michael Philip Jagger.”
L’Wren specifically said in the will that she didn’t want her brother, Randy Bambrough, or her estranged sister, Jan Shane, to get any money.
“Expect if otherwise provided in this will, I have intentionally omitted to provide herein for any other my heirs living at the date of my death,” L’Wren wrote.
