Joan Rivers & Lena Dunham’s Weight — ‘It’s OK! Stay Fat! Get Diabetes!’
Girls star Lena was aimed at by the Fashion Police host Joan Rivers — and it wasn’t in a good way. During Joan’s visit to The Howard Stern Show, she discussed Lena’s weight, accusing her of sending out horrible messages to women because she’s content with her current weight.
Howard actually defended Lena after Joan attacked her fashion selections. She asked him: “How could she wear dresses above the knee?” Howard responded: “Well, I think the thing we love about her is that she doesn’t give a sh*t… She did a whole episode in a bikini. It was the funniest f**king thing I ever saw.”
We love how he tried to tell Joan that Lena’s whole philosophy is to teach women about body acceptance, however, Joan attacked back saying: “But that’s wrong! You’re sending a message out to people saying ‘it’s OK! Stay fat! Get diabetes. Everybody die. Lose your fingers.”

Joan also brought up Lena’s Vogue cover, talking about the retouching that was done in the magazine. She said, “There she was looking gorgeous. You didn’t know it was her.”
Although Joan verbally attacked Lena, she told Howard: “I love that she’s funny, I love that she did well… but don’t let them laugh at you physically.”
