Before her death, L’Wren Scott was tragically being pushed into a corner, according to a new report. Besides having zero assistance with her reportedly struggling business, she was also allegedly living an unfulfilled personal life, as her boyfriend Mick Jagger‘s daughters never quite allowed her to become part of the family.
L’Wren was always an outsider when it came to Mick and his four daughters, Karis, Jade, Lizzie, and Georgia. She “was not piercing his steel ring of daughters,” Cindy Adams of the New York Post writes.
This awkward — and unfair — state of things reportedly always kept L’Wren an arm’s length away from Mick and his beloved family, and despite being with the Rolling Stones singer for 13 years, she was never truly accepted. The fact that Mick never proposed may be a sign of that.
Add that to the fact that L’Wren’s business was seriously struggling — over $7 million in debt by 2014, according to the Post — and getting no help from Mick, and you can see that she was in an awful place.
Unfortunately, she really had no promising options going forward. She couldn’t just start over. She couldn’t take a menial job and pretend like her status as a celebrity/VIP figure didn’t exist. And what’s worse, she couldn’t simply retire and focus on family life because her longtime boyfriend and his children reportedly weren’t letting her in. She seemingly had nowhere to turn to.
L’Wren’s March 17 death continues to be heartbreaking, especially as time reveals the layers of pain L’Wren may have been going through. But tell us what you think, HollywoodLifers. Was L’Wren left with no options?
