Band members, family and friends of David Brockie are completely shocked and devasted by the sudden death of the Gwar frontman. He was found dead in his Virginia home on March 23 at the young age of 50.
David Brockie, or Oderus Urungus as fans know him, was reportedly found dead by a fellow band member. David was the last alive original member of Gwar and founded it in 1984.

Around 6:53 pm on March 23, Richmond police got a call of a deceased individual and arrived to the home of Richmond, Virg. home of David, FoxNews reported. The body is being examined to determine the cause of death.
Jack Flanagan, the manager of Gwar released a statement on March 24, confirming that a member of the band had found the singer.
“My main focus right now is to look after my band mates and his family. More information regarding his death shall be released as the details are confirmed,” he said.
“I wish it was a joke, everyone is in shock,” former bassist Chris Bopst told Style Weekly, while another former bassist Mike Bishop added, “Dave was one of the funniest, smartest, most creative and energetic persons I’ve known. He was brash sometimes, always crass, irreverent, he was hilarious in every way. But he was also deeply intelligent and interested in life, history, politics and art.”
The band isn’t the only ones who are left heartbroken. David’s fans have taken to Twitter to remember the iconic frontman.
