The March 24th episode of ‘The Following’ was appropriately titled ‘Teacher’s Pet,’ as we got a look at the new cult of followers that Joe Carroll has created. In an exclusive behind-the-scenes video, HollywoodLife.com is taking you on set with the cult to get a closer look.

It’s hard to keep all of Joe Carroll (James Purefoy)’s followers straight on The Following, and on the newest episode, we were introduced the dressed-in-red clan. The video below gives you a look of what went down on set while Joe was “testing some of the new followers,” as Agent Mike Weston (Shawn Ashmore) says.

On tonight’s episode, we saw a new young follower of Joe go into a restaurant and attack a woman in the bathroom — but she can’t follow through.

Joe’s new followers are “still learning to be killers, because they go in there and they can’t carry out the act right away,” as writer/co-executive producer Brett Mahoney says in the video.

“It’s always challenging to shoot in a location like this where were trying to create a really intense, dramatic scene win an environment that isn’t incredibly controllable, but we have a really great group of people doing it, so it always works,” director and executive producer Marcos Siega adds.
