You’ve seen a fair share of adorable baby videos, but this one has got to be the most creative ever! Lead singer of McFly, Tom Fletcher wrote a new song and took snapshots of his wife while she was going through the stages of pregnancy — then he combined them to create an amazing video right after the baby was born!
Buzz Michelangelo Fletcher was welcomed into the world by proud parents Giovanna and Tom Fletcher on March 13, who wanted to share their journey with the world by filming an incredible video and writing a new song. You can’t miss their incredibly personal nine-months that they recreated in a three-minute video.
Tom Fletcher’s Baby Video
The black and white video begins with Tom, the lead singer of the band McFly playing guitar solo in a room. Shortly after the start of the song, his wife enters wearing a black sports bra and leggings. At the first sight of her, you can’t tell she is pregnant.
However, as the song goes on — a perfect song that Tom wrote for his new life called “Something New” — Giovanna’s bump grows in front of Tom’s eyes, thanks to amazing editing. She stays in the same outfit throughout.
As the lyrics play — “I predict a summer isn’t very long/then before you know it were singing Christmas songs/then we get another April, May and June/I think I’m ready for something new” — her hair changes and he continues to gaze at her while her bump gets bigger and bigger.
While the song winds down, he sings, “I guess I’m ready, I think I’m ready, I hope I’m ready for something new,” as his wife waves and walks off camera. The video ends with her reentering the frame holding their baby, then a close-up pic of their son, with his full name “Buzz Michelangelo Fletcher.”
“We took photos every day through the nine months of our pregnancy, this is the result (plus a little song I wrote called “Something New”),” he captioned the video on YouTube.
It’s Not The First Time For Tom & Giovanna
Tom’s video doesn’t actually shock us — to announce the news they were expecting, Tom and Giovanna sang a duet while carving pumpkins.
At the end, they revealed they turned the four pumpkins around showing that they read: “We’re Having A Baby!”
These two are the cutest. Now we just have to wait and see what they’ll do for their first baby’s sweet 16!
