Die-hard MK Nobilette fans were pretty upset after the March 20 ‘American Idol’ elimination when the judges didn’t use their save. Turns out that she wasn’t too optimistic about the prospect, either.
If you’re a fan of MK Nobilette and you’re upset that the judges didn’t use their save on her to keep her from elimination, you’re not the only one. Many American Idol viewers are upset that MK didn’t make it through, and in an interview with MK, she told us that she didn’t have her hopes up on the potential save. Read on for what she had to say about the judges choosing not to save her, and VOTE on whom you think the judges would save from elimination!
MK Nobilette: ‘American Idol’ Finalist Didn’t Think Judges Would Save Her
In case you didn’t already know, the judges have one “save” that they can use in the season. So, if America votes a contestant out, they can make the unanimous decision to keep that contestant on for another week. However, it seems like it’s definitely too early in the competition for the judges to use their save, because they declined to do so last night to keep MK in the competition.
In an interview with HollywoodLife.com after her elimination, we asked MK whether she thought the judges would use their save, and she shook her head “no.” When we told her that we thought they’d use the save — after all, Jennifer Lopez was nearly in tears over the decision — MK replied with:
“I don’t know. I didn’t think about it. I don’t like to think about those things because I don’t want to get my hopes up or not. You know, I don’t want to say they’re not and then they do because them I’m awkwardly surprised. I don’t want to be anything. I just like to look at one thing at a time.”
MK Nobilette: The Judges Would Probably Save CJ Harris From Elimination
We also asked MK whom she thought the judges would use their save on, and she told us that she wasn’t sure, but probably CJ Harris. Thoughts on that? Our best bet would be Alex Preston or Jena Irene for the save, if we’re being honest.
It’s kinda sad, but MK was right not to get her hopes up — not only was she correct, but can you imagine how much more devastating it would have been to see JLo’s tearful face and to think that you’re about to be saved — and then get sent home? MK, you’re right to take things one step at a time; that attitude will serve you well as you continue to pursue your music career. Harry Connick Jr. even had some advice for her after her elimination!
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Should the judges have used their save on MK or is it too early in the competition? Whom do you think they would save? Vote and comment below!
