‘Kate Plus 8’ is set to return for a one-hour catch up special in June. Of course, her ex-husband Jon Gosselin does not want his kids back on television. HollywoodLife.com talked to Kate about returning to television, and she told us EXCLUSIVELY that she had to go back because she’s got to support those eight kids somehow, right?!
Kate and ex-husband Jon Gosselin have differing opinions on how they should provide for their children. While Jon is firm about the fact he doesn’t want them back on television, Kate says she going back to TV helps her provide for their kids. In an EXCLUSIVE interview, she shows that she is open to any opportunity that allows her to do so. Even if that opportunity goes against Jon’s wishes.
Kate Gosselin Defends Putting Kids Back On Television
Kate Plus 8 is coming back for a one hour catch up episode of Kate and her children.
The announcement comes as a surprise seeing as how her ex-husband, Jon, vehemently stated that he does not want his children back on television. Well, Hollywoodlife.com caught up with the now single mother of eight and she defended her choice.
“I do have 8 kids to support solely and so obviously that is at the heart of every parent’s’ mind,” Kate stated. Like a true mama bear, Kate was sure to let us know that her kids are always her priority. “I can’t fail my kids and I feel like that gives me a lot of ‘umph’ for when I’m tired to eek out that last bit.”
Kate also gave HollywoodLife.com details on what we should expect on the upcoming TLC special.
“It’s an update of where we left off, what has happened in the last few years,” Kate stated. She also let us know that her kids will play an even bigger role in the special, since they are much older now. “They’re funnier, the conversations we have now are hysterical. They want to give me fashion advice and dating advice and all these other things. They’re very vocal and that has come out in this and they’re just the same great kids and becoming more of who they are and will be.”
Jon Gosselin Doesn’t Want Kids Back On TV
Back in January, Jon stopped by the Wendy Williams show and vehemently stated that he does not want his children back on television. Jon discussed the fact that he left Jon & Kate Plus 8 mid-season because he did not want his children watching their parents’ divorce disseminating on television.
“No. I’ll fight it,” Jon firmly answered when asked if he would allow his kids on television again. We wonder what hes going to think once the catch up episode airs.
