Mick Jagger is understandably heartbroken by the sudden death of his longtime girlfriend L’Wren Scott on March 17. While his band members are rallying around him, he reportedly hasn’t been sleeping and is having a hard time speaking! So horrible.
Mick Jagger is completely distraught after his girlfriend of 13 years, L’Wren Scott was found dead in her NYC apartment after committing suicide. He has now flown back to Los Angeles with his two children and is working on funeral plans. His family and friends, including the Rolling Stones have been doing everything they can do to help him, as he is “not well.”
Mick Jagger Heartbroken, Not Sleeping
“He is totally devastated and just wants to be surrounded by his family. We have never seen him so despondent and are extremely worried about him,” a friend of the 70-year-old singer told the Mirror. “He didn’t sleep after being told the news. How could you? Like anyone, he is wrestling with how it happened and if he could have prevented it.”
Mick knows there is nothing he could have done to stop the horrific tragedy, but the source added that he’s just running through his head the last time they saw each other.
“Of course, there is nothing he could have done but that doesn’t stop him feeling utterly tormented by the turn of events,” they added. “Every waking moment he’s been thinking of their last hours and days together and if he could have spotted any warning signs. It’s all terribly sad.”
The Rolling Stones Rally Around Mick
Of course Mick’s second family is his band. The group was in Australia when the news broke and canceled the next leg of their tour to be there for their friend.
“He’s holding up. He’s okay,” Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts told MailOnline on March 19, before admitting, “He’s not really well. He’s not really here. It was such a shock.”
“This is such terrible news and right now the important thing is that we are all pulling together to offer Mick our support,” guitarist Ronnie Wood added, while Keith Richards chimed in, “No one saw this coming. Mick’s always been my soul brother and we love him. We’re thick as thieves and we’re all feeling for the man.”
We wish Mick and his family all the best during this tough time.
