In 2007, Mick presented his girlfriend with a huge diamond ring as a ‘sign of his devotion,’ — and she was never spotted without the vintage sparkler on her finger.
Mick Jagger, 70, and L’Wren Scott, 49, were together for 13 years and although the couple wasn’t planning on getting married Mick was very devoted to his long-time love. In fact, MailOnline reports that in 2007 he picked out a stunning vintage diamond ring for L’Wren which signified that he planned on spending the rest of his life with the talented stylist and designer — and she never stepped out without the gorgeous ring on that ring finger.
L’Wren Scott’s ‘Engagement’ Ring From Mick Jagger — Diamond Ring She Never Took Off:
A friend of Mick’s tells the website, “Mick gave L’Wren the ring as a sign of his devotion. I know it was a vintage ring that he picked out himself, but they were very quiet about it, they never discussed it in public – it was just private for them.” The stunning sparkler was first spotted on L’Wren’s ring finger in October 2007, when the couple was spotted out enjoying performances at a folk festival in Rajasthan, India — and rumors swirled, questioning whether or not the couple was actually engaged. A friend confirmed to the site that they never were engaged, but it meant a lot to L’Wren that Mick got her the vintage ring — especially because she had an affinity for antique jewelry.
Even at her last public appearance on Dec. 2 at the British Fashion Awards at the London Coliseum in London, the ring was still on her hand.
L’Wren Scott’s Suicide:
The story behind L’Wren’s diamond ring comes on the heels of her tragic death on March 17. On March 20, the NYC Medical Examiner determined that the cause of her death was suicide by hanging. Mick is “devastated,” by her untimely death and The Rolling Stones cancelled their tour in the wake of L’Wren’s suicide.
