HollywoodLife.com has learned EXCLUSIVE details about Lamar Odom’s last-ditch effort to play in the NBA and become a New York Knick. But does the 34-year-old baller really have a shot?
Lamar Odom, 34, wants to play basketball again on American soil. HollywoodLife.com has the exclusive details regarding his attempt to play for former coach Phil Jackson and become a New York Knick next season.
Lamar Odom Leaves Spanish Team For Chance At NBA Glory
Lamar had been overseas in Spain playing ball for Baskonia before leaving because of a back injury but he hasn’t let that hurdle stop him. A source close to the New York native revealed to Hollywoodlife.com exclusively that Lamar wants one more shot at the NBA.
“He does have back issues but by quitting the team in Spain it allows him to train in the US and get healthy,” the source revealed to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “He really has to pick his spots, and one of those spots is the New York Knicks — now that Phil Jackson is with the Knicks.”
The source added that Lamar is going to do “everything possible” to prove to Phil that he should be on the roster for next year. “It is his last chance” the source said.
Lamar Says Goodbye To Spanish Basketball Team To Pursue NBA Hopes
Ever since Lamar got the good news that he’d be playing professional basketball again in Spain, it has been a series of letdowns. And on March 15, he suffered the biggest disappointment when a serious back injury reportedly forced him to give up his spot with Baskonia (also known as Laboral Kutxa).
What do you think HollywoodLifers? Do you think Lamar still has it in him to play in the NBA. Let us know what you’re thinking.
