The Wicked Witch Of The West continues to terrorize the fairytale gang and drops a bomb on the Evil Queen so huge the explosion of information will ripple throughout the remaining episodes of the show for sure. Find out what happens when the green sorceress puts her evil plans into action.
Emma (Jennifer Morrison) is no longer living the good life in New York City with Henry (Jared S. Gilmore). Since returning to Storybrooke with her memory intact, she has struggled, like the rest of the town, with this new and powerful curse. But that ain’t the half of it — in an episode that only thickens the plot — both Emma, Henry, and the rest of the gang are going to have to do battle with more than just their minds in order to find a “happily ever after.”
Witches, Flying Monkeys, Potions, & Storybrooke
OK, in the last show the Wicked Witch Of The West (Rebecca Mader from Lost) was responsible for the new curse, but the jury was still out on why she cast the spell in the first place. What is known is that one of her flying monkeys extracted some of Regina’s (Lana Parrilla) blood to set off the curse. Mean Green then completely took over Regina and Snow White’s (Ginnifer Goodwin) land as the former royal family suffered from memory loss back in Maine.
The episode opens with the fairytale gang all trying to figure out whats going on and why they are back in Storybrooke. Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) is holding all the cards, as he reveals to Emma that he received the potion that allowed her to regain her memory from Snow (or at least he thought).
All the while, the wicked witch has been cruising around town unnoticed just observing her handy work.
Emma and Regina, not satisfied with living under the mystery as to who could have cast the spell in the first place, set out to draw their enemy into the open. Once bitter rivals, the two work together to create a fake rumor about their success in creating a potion that could restore everyone’s memory.
The evil witch takes the bait and is almost caught red-handed going through Regina’s office to find the false concoction. Unfortunately, she manages to disappear into thin air — leaving Emma and Regina with nothing but more questions than answers.
Flashback to fairy land where the Evil Queen has managed to break the shield and finally enter her own castle for the first time since it was taken over. It is in her old room where she encounters the Wicked Witch, and it is also within that room where the witch reveals that the two are sisters! Boom!
The twists don’t stop there. Before the show wraps we flash forward to Storybrooke where you see a very confident Wicked Witch delivering some food to what we think is a caged animal kept in some kind of basement!
The camera pans over and what is in the cage? Well, more like who is in the cage — its non-other than Rumpelstiltskin! Yes, the once believed dead, evil spell caster is back, but who knows for what — and for how long.
What did you think of the episode, Once-lers? Are you excited for what’s next? Any ideas on why Rumpelstiltskin is back? Let me know your thoughts!
