Malaysia Airlines Flight 370: CIA Investigates Possible Pilot Suicide Attempt
CIA officials are now suspecting that a possible suicide attempt by the pilot could have brought down missing Malaysia Airlines flight 370, the director of the CIA revealed on Mar. 10.
“I think you cannot discount any theory”, said John Brennan, head of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), when asked if it was possible the pilot deliberately crashed the Boeing 777.
John become involved in the case when Malaysian police said they were going to carry out psychological profile testing on everyone on board the plane.
The theory could offer an explanation as to how the plane ‘disappeared’ from civilian radar tracking its movements. The pilot could have simply turned off the transponder shortly before it disappeared.
John also stated that the possibility of a terrorist act could not be ruled out either, concerning the jet’s disappearance.
“Could it just have been some kind of catastrophic event? I do not think people at this point should rule out any lines of inquiry,” John said.
