On the season finale of ‘Couples Therapy,’ Farrah Abraham finally starts dating again and Jon Gosselin makes a promise Liz Jannette hopes he can keep.
It’s time to reflect on all of the progress made during this season of Couples Therapy. Who will continue to use Dr. Jenn Berman‘s tools and succeed out there in the real world?
Farrah Abraham Tries Dating Again
After a few weeks of trolling Plenty of Fish profiles online, Farrah Abraham finally goes on a date. We get to see footage from the date when Dr. Jenn Berman reviews it in a one-on-one session with Farrah, and it’s pretty awful. The guy talks about moving back in with his mom, calls his son’s mother some harsh names, and then tries to nonchalantly bring up the porn industry. Farrah gets angry while watching the footage because it’s clear that this guy was fishing for a reaction, but thankfully she handled herself pretty well during the date itself. Hilariously enough, the guy later tells the cameraman that he sees a future with Farrah and asks her to call him. Don’t think so, buddy! Dr. Jenn tells Farrah that she has to start being herself and that she has to be open about her feelings going forward. Hopefully, she brings these tools to the table as she continues to date and broaden her horizons as far as having a partner to move forward with her life. There is hope for Farrah yet!
Jon Gosselin Sort Of Proposes To Liz Jannetta
Jon Gosselin is so confident that he and Liz Janetta have made progress together, he makes a trip to pick up a special something for her to mark their time in therapy together. Later during lunch he tells her that he has learned so much from her and their time together, and he wants to promise that one day they will spend the rest of their lives together. When Jon pulls out the tiny little jewelry box I think we all thought the same thing — he’s proposing! But it turned out to be a sweet little promise ring, with hope of a future. Liz later shares that no matter what happens between them, Jon will always be her “best buddy.” Despite being deemed incompatible, it looks like these two are really going to stick it out for the long run.
Taylor Armstrong Gets A Big Surprise From John Bluher
As a treat for all of the couples doing so well this season, Dr. Jenn brings everyone on a charter boat for an evening of “floating off into the sunset.” The cast gets to enjoy their last dinner together complete with champagne, laughter, and emotional speeches. It’s a romantic ending to an emotional roller coaster of a season, and all of the couples have really made progress. However, the most romantic gesture of all is when Taylor Armstrong‘s fiancé John Bluher presents her with adoption papers for her daughter, Kennedy.
