Even though Angelina Jolie is joined by Vivienne, Pax, and Zahara in the upcoming ‘Maleficent,’ she says that it was only for fun. Acting is ‘not the goal’ for Angelina and Brad Pitt’s children.
Some parents want their children to follow in their footsteps, but not Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. They have other things in mind for their kids.
Angelina Does Not Want Her Kids To Be Actors
Angelina Jolie, 38, co-stars in the highly anticipated Maleficent with three very familiar faces: her daughters Vivienne and Zahara, as well as her son, Pax.
Vivienne has the special role of playing a young Aurora alongside Angie’s Maleficent, and it only happened because Vivienne was the only three or four year old on set who would come near her in that scary costume!
“It had to be a child that liked me and wasn’t afraid of my horns and my eyes and my claws. So it had to be Viv,” Angie explained in the new issue of Entertainment Weekly. However, acting is not on the to-do list for Angelina and Brad Pitt‘s children.
Angie Talked Her Kids Into Letting Her Do ‘Maleficent’
In the same interview, Angelina explains that when she told her kids she would be playing Maleficent they all objected, citing that it was ‘too scary’ of a role.
“I said, ‘Let me tell you the real story but you can’t tell anybody,’” she explains about how her children needed to be coaxed into the idea. “So this was my test too, like any parent. The next day, I heard Shiloh getting into a fight with another kid, defending Maleficent, saying, ‘You don’t understand her!’ They got into a bit of an argument and I thought, that’s the reason to do the film.”
