When Toronto Mayor Rob Ford paid a visit to ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ on March 3, no one was more surprised than Jimmy Kimmel himself. In fact, Jimmy even asked the mayor, ‘Why are you here?’ And that wasn’t even the most awkward question of the interview!
Jimmy Kimmel always has interesting guests on his show, but on March 3 he had an interview for the ages — with none other than the Canadian mayor Rob Ford! Jimmy’s interview was entertaining and epic, and he asked Rob a number of scorching questions that had us laughing out loud!
Rob Ford On ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ — Toronto Mayor Gets Roasted By Host
Jimmy didn’t waste any time asking Rob to make an appearance on his show after the mayor shared his private number with the public — and he didn’t waste any time grilling Rob during the interview either! As soon as Rob sat down, Jimmy got right to it by asking him why he even bothered showing up. “Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad that you are here, but why are you here?” Jimmy asked. “What good could come of this? Have you ever seen the show?”
Jimmy went on to read some of the colorful words that Toronto residents had used to describe their mayor. These included “abusive exploiter,” “very sick, very bad man,” “homophobic,” and “racist.” Rob responded by asking, “Is that all they have?”
“I have a lot,” Jimmy said. “You may have set a record.”
Jimmy also showed pictures of Rob sporting a milk mustache, dancing with scantily-clad women in costume and devouring racks of barbecue ribs. In the second part of the interview, Jimmy showed some controversal videos of Rob, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Among these were videos of Rob doing a Jamaican accent, knocking over a woman and tossing candy canes out to children, which Jimmy compared to feeding birds.
Jimmy Kimmel Asks Rob Ford About Drug Abuse
There were times throughout the interview that Rob looked understandably uncomfortable and at one point he was even sweating — a lot. But it only got more intense from there. Jimmy took the interview down a more serious path when he asked Rob about his drug and alcohol problems. “Maybe that’s something you want to think about, like trying to talk to somebody,” Jimmy said.
Rob responded, “I wasn’t elected to be perfect, Jimmy. I was elected to clean up a mess.”
So what do you think, HollywoodLifers? Did you enjoy Jimmy’s show or did you think he was too hard on Mayor Ford? Let us know!
