The Holy Father was speaking from a window in St Peter’s Square when he accidentally mixed up the Italian word “caso” — which means “case” — with “cazzo” — which can translate to “f**k” or sometimes “s**t,” reports the Daily News.
Pope’s Slip Of The Tongue Shocks Crowd
The full breath of the pontiff’s statement, in which he confused the words, was translated from Italian to this:
“If each one of us does not amass riches only for oneself, but half for the service of others, in this f**k,” the Pope said, before pausing.
“In this case the providence of God will become visible through this gesture of solidarity,” he continued after fixing his error.
