‘The Rover’ Gets A Release Date

‘The Rover’: A Gruesome Role For Robert Pattinson

Great news! Only a few more months before we can feast our eyes on Rob in one of his most challenging roles yet.

Also starring Guy PearceThe Rover is a story from the near future about a man who is trying to hunt down a group of dangerous criminals. Along the way he picks up Rey — played by Rob — who is a broken-down, injured man from that rough gang. Judging from the pictures that have been released, Rob’s character takes a real beating in what promises to be a grueling, physical role.

And Rob was director David Michod‘s first choice for the role! “I knew that I wanted to see him,” David said in a preview of the movie. “And we looked at quite a few people and number of, you know, quite big names. And sure enough Rob came in and straight away was my favorite.”

We couldn’t be any more excited to see this movie — and now we can circle a date on our calendars!
